Tasting Notes
The Holmes family established Ciel du Cheval vineyard in 1975 on Red Mountain, and has produced incredible quality and distinction with their wine grapes for many years. The vineyard has a simple mission: grow grapes that are the best reflection of the unique terroir and give a sense of place. Anelare wines from Ciel du Cheval vineyard does that year after year.
50% Roussannne / 50% Viognier // aged for 6 months in 100% neutral oak.
ABV: 14.5% // 240 cases produced
Beautiful gold color in the glass, floral on the nose, with notes of honeysuckle. Opens with some stone fruit such as pear, green apple, with a slight pith finish. Bright to medium acidity. Lovely white wine with Red Mountain strength and structure. Very versatile.

Goat cheese, Gruyère, or the decanant and creamy Brie or Camebert. Bright salad with a delicious citrus and ginger dressing. Seafood such as lobster and crab. Dessert? Strawberry shortcake with notes of vanilla.
